How sourcing, quotation and correction work on a site whose central argument is critical of a named company and a named executive.

Every load-bearing claim carries a date and a source on the page, and is repeated on the receipts page. Primary sources are preferred: written testimony submitted to a legislature, essays published under the author’s own name, court filings, company policy documents. Where only secondary reporting is available, the report is named as the source rather than passed off as the primary record.
Short excerpts are quoted for the purpose of criticism and comment, with attribution. Three rules follow from that:
AI is not a new church, and people don’t need a new pope. Operationally, that means asking of every safety claim: is it checkable, and by whom? A commitment that only binds when restraint is cheap is not a commitment. A safety brand that cannot be externally audited is a marketing position. Both tests are applied to Anthropic and would be applied to any other lab that asked for the same authority.
No sponsored articles, paid placements or undisclosed commercial content. Advertising is served automatically by third-party networks, is always labelled, and has no role in editorial decisions. Nobody is shown copy before publication in exchange for anything.
Errors are corrected in place with a note recording what changed and when. Substantive corrections are also reflected on the receipts page, which is versioned by date. If you believe a quotation, date or figure is wrong, write to [email protected].
